Dr. Edgar brings a wealth of experience to his coaching practice. An ordained minister with the Evangelical Free Church, he has over thirteen years of pastoral ministry experience serving at churches in Illinois, Kansas, and South Carolina.
Scott and his family resided in Kiev, Ukraine, where he served as Professor of Christian Education and Ministry, and as acting Academic Dean at Kiev Theological Seminary. During this time, he also taught courses in leadership and Christian education at Christian colleges in Russia, Ukraine, and Poland.
Dr. Edgar served as Associate Dean at Columbia International University and as Associate Professor in Humanities at Azusa Pacific University College (now Los Angeles Pacific University). Currently, Scott serves on the faculties of several universities and seminaries, most notably, Liberty University, where he teaches in the graduate school of behavioral sciences and serves as a mentor in the Doctor of Ministry program.
Scott is a graduate of Calvary University (B.A.), Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (M.Div.), and Fuller Theological Seminary (D.Min. in Leadership Development). Scott also holds a Ph.D. from the University of Wales (UK), where he studied the integration of faith and learning. He has a graduate certificate in Executive Coaching and Consultation from Concordia University (Townsend Institute).
An avid sports fan – college football is his personal obsession. He enjoys cross-cultural experiences, trout fishing, and international travel. In all he has traveled to more than 25 countries. His wife Rebekah, is a third-grade elementary teacher. The Edgar’s reside in Bentonville, Arkansas and attend Fellowship Bible Church.
